Blackthorn Diamond Engagement Ring

The Blackthorn Diamond Engagement Ring is inspired by the blackthorn tree, renowned for its sharp thorns and delicate white flowers. The intricate setting mirrors the crossing of delicate branches, with the openness of the setting allowing as much light as possible to illuminate the trio of brilliant-cut diamonds, highlighting their exquisite beauty, much like the delicate blackthorn blossom.

The ring pictured is a size n 1/2 with a 1ct centre stone and 0.25cts on each side.

Worn at the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, BAFTAs, Met Gala, and amfAR; on red carpets, at movie premieres, on TV, and late-night talk shows; featured on magazine covers and in press features; and adding sparkle to our countless loyal customers during your most treasured moments—love, engagements, and life’s greatest milestones—Lark & Berry is here to make every moment extraordinary.

Comparing Lab vs Mined

Price

Our comparison prices are derived from a careful analysis of how we source and acquire our diamonds compared to the typical sourcing and pricing of mined diamonds. We keep the metal prices stable among all comparisons, only the stones are taken into the comparison calculation. While prices may fluctuate over time, we continuously monitor these trends to give you the most accurate data we can find.

Value

Guaranteeing an ethical diamond is priceless, however in terms of monetary value, traditional mined diamond jewellery retains a resale value of just 20-60% of its original price - that's if you find a buyer.

Our focus is on you wearing and enjoying your piece, so opting for lab diamond jewellery allows you to allocate your savings elsewhere while still keeping your cherished piece forever.

The 5 Cs

Of All Diamonds

CERTIFICATE

Lab-grown diamonds are indeed certified and graded by reputable institutes like the International Gemological Institute (IGI) or the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), just like their mined counterparts. The reports for lab-grown diamonds are comprehensive and include all the same essential information found in certificates for mined diamonds, such as carat weight, clarity, color, and cut. This certification process ensures transparency and quality standards for consumers when purchasing lab-grown diamonds.

CARAT

Carat refers to the weight of a diamond, with one carat equaling 200 milligrams. It measures the size and scale of the diamond.

CUT

The cut of a diamond determines its sparkle and brilliance. A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully, enhancing its overall beauty.

COLOUR

Diamond colour refers to its lack of color, with the highest grade being D (colourless) and descending through the alphabet. Less colour means more brilliance.

CLARITY

Clarity assesses the presence of imperfections or blemishes within the diamond. Higher clarity grades signify fewer flaws, resulting in a clearer and more valuable diamond.
